Profile
Mohammad Zanganeh is a graduate of IUST in 2001 where he studied Solid Mechanics. He completed his MSc `Fracture of Composite Materials Using Finite Element and Moire Technique´ at the University of Tehran in 2003. He joined the University of Sheffield in 2005 where he was awarded his PhD in Experimental Fracture Mechanics in 2009. Since 2008, he has become a research associate in Integrity of Materials and Structures research group and IMMPETUS working on several projects such as exploring crack tip fields using digital image correlation as well as micromechanical modelling of damage using cellular automata and finite element.
Research interests
• Structural integrity of materials
• Multi-scale and microstructural damage modelling
• Fatigue and Fracture mechanics
• Development of new experimental techniques
