Postgrad Café Forum
Since October 2011, a group of postgraduate students have got together in the university pub every month to hear informal talks about research done at the university, spanning both sciences and arts. The scheme, set up jointly by students from MBB and the medical school, is the only student-led initiative recognised on the University’s own research training program for postgraduates, and therefore provides credits towards the University’s postgraduate training requirements. It allows postgraduates to gain vital experience in presenting their work in a relaxed environment, as well as insight into what work is done in other labs in the university.
