Thomas Schrefl joined the Department in 2004.
He was awarded the START Price of the Austrian Science fund.
Research interests
His expertise is materials and device modelling using finite element and fast boundary element methods. Primary goal of his modelling is a better understanding of the influence of the microsctucture on the properties of the materials and the application of this knowledge to simulate the functional behaviour of devices over multiple length scales.
