Tutu Sebastian obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Ceramics and Cement Technology from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, India in 2006. He moved to the University of Sheffield in the same year to pursue his MSc (Eng) in Ceramic Science, followed by undertaking a PhD in Electroceramics, which is completed in 2011.
Research interests
- Bi(Me)O3 – PbTiO3 based ceramics for high temperature piezoelectric applications.
- Titanium and Chromium carbide coating on graphite nano-particles using molten salt synthesis.
Current research
- Developing high TC multilayer actuators from Bi(Me)O3 – PbTiO3 ceramics.
