After obtaining a first Class Honour degree in China, Le continued her study and research at the University of Sheffield. Le was awarded MSc degree in 2005 and PhD degree in 2010. After postdoctoral research at the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, University of Leeds, Le returned to Sheffield as an Experimental Officer in the Sorby Centre for Electron Microscopy and Research Associate in the Mercury Centre.
Research interests
Le is involved in the research on biomaterial development for dental and artificial joint applications, biotribology and microscopy characterisation. Current research projects are focused on the wear behaviour studies of new types of ceramics, which can be developed for bio applications potentially.
