Find the Department of Materials, Science and Engineering building on the map

The department is based in the Sir Robert Hadfield Building off Mappin Street and on Portobello Street at the east end of campus. Mappin Street runs between West Street and Broad Lane.

The building is number 172, grid reference H3 on the campus map.

Local Transport

The Department is a short 20 minute walk from Sheffield Train Station with buses to the University running frequently. From the railway station you can take the numbers 6, 95, 120 and 181 directly to the end of West Street.
