PhD Supervision
Jo supervises a number of PhD students working on a variety of management issues within the context of SMEs.
Teaching
Jo is the module leader of two modules at undergraduate level: Analysis for Decision Making and Business Statistics. The aim of these modules is to enable students to develop competencies in those quantitative techniques and tools which are essential for the collection, analysis and interpretation of data in a business context. The focus is on how quantitative techniques can be used to support effective business decision making. In addition to developing an understanding of the relevant techniques and the ability to apply them (including skills in the use of Excel and other commercially used statistical software such as SPSS), students develop skills in communicating the results of such analysis in a range of business situations.
Jo is also involved in teaching quantitative research methods at postgraduate level and contributes to the Management School´s Doctoral Training Programme and its Executive MBA Programme.
