Dr Andrea Genovese

Dr Andrea Genovese is a Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Management School of the University of Sheffield. He is also acting as a key member for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Research Centre and for the recently established Centre for Environment Energy and Sustainability (CEES).  In recent years, he has contributed to several research projects funded on the topic of Low Carbon Innovation for Supply Chains, like the Low Carbon Supply Chains research project from the Centre for Low Carbon Futures and the Big Energy Upgrade (partly funded by European Regional Development Fund).

He has published several papers in international journals and regurarly presents his work in international confences. He has acted as a committee member of several international conferences including EWGLA 2010, ISAHP 2011, IPSERA 2012. He is involved in training and consultancy activities with the LSCM research centre at the University of Sheffield. He has also received two best paper awards in leading international conferences.

He holds a PhD in the area of Operational Research from University of Naples "Federico II" (Italy). His education also includes a MSc (with BSc) in Engineering and Technology Management from the same institution and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics of University of New Hampshire (USA). Prior to his PhD, he has worked as Logistics Central Planner for a MNE operating in the tyres industry.

Dr Andrea is the Module Leader for MGT6084: Logistics Systems and for MGT6085: Global Supply Chain Leadership.

He is actively involved in developing modules for Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and is a Visiting Lecturer to the University of Naples "Federico II" (Italy) on Operational Research and Operations Management.
