Seminars range from academic talks on cutting-edge research topics and methods to presentations by distinguished business leaders, highlighting the practical challenges which inspire our research.

The Distinguished Academic Speaker Series

Every year we invite a number of internationally distinguished academic speakers to present their latest research at the Management School. Our distinguished academic speakers are leading experts in their field of research and work at renowned research institutions around the world. We invite speakers across the range of disciplines within the School. Seminars in this series often attract an interdisciplinary audience.

The Special Topic Series

In this seminar series we host researchers whose work is highly relevant to ongoing research at the School, adds a new perspective, and offers the possibility to build new collaborations. These seminars are usually hosted by a member of staff who has a particularly strong connection to the research. Within this series, we also invite Management School staff to present their latest research, to create opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

The Distinguished Business Leaders Series

This series, facilitated by ConsultIWP, invites business and organisational leaders at the highest levels to provide their perspective on a specific area. Speakers in this series have a track record of influencing people issues at work. This series aims to identify strategies, topics and funding sources that will facilitate better collaboration with organisations, as well as to increase our engagement with and profile amongst the business community.

The Doctoral Seminar Series

The Doctoral Seminar Series

The Doctoral Seminar Series is run by Doctoral researchers for the benefit of doctoral researchers and the wider academic community. It aims to provide doctoral researchers in the management school an opportunity to deliver, develop and discuss their research in a collaborative, informal environment. Doctoral Seminars are held on the final Wednesday of the month unless otherwise stated.
