MSc in International Management and Marketing
This programme is for graduates from any disciplinary background seeking to develop a career in international management or marketing. You’ll acquire a good understanding of both the theory and practice and a blend of case studies and assignments will help to develop your applied marketing skills. You’ll learn about marketing management, consumer behaviour, marketing communications, contemporary marketing practices, marketing research, international management and international business strategy. In addition you will be able to focus your international management study on either contemporary Japanese or Chinese business practice.
Enrolment on the programme will automatically allow you to become an Affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Completion of the programme gives you a further option of becoming a Chartered Marketer after three years work experience and an additional 35 hours of personal development.

Profile of typical candidate
This programme suits graduates wishing to gain knowledge and a critical appreciation of international management and marketing. It has been carefully designed to provide alternative pathways suitable for those who have, or have not, studied business previously and who wish to develop an international career in management or marketing.
Our dedicated Careers Service provides excellent support for Masters students and will help you develop the skills you need to progress your career. They are also able to put you in touch with a variety of different employers.
Entry specification
You will need a good degree in any subject (2:1 or higher) or approved professional qualification combined with a desire to learn about principles and practices of marketing and management. You do not need prior management experience.
IELTS is our preferred test of language. You need an IELTS score of 7, with at least 6 in all the component tests.
If you are unable to sit the IELTS, you should take TOEFL. You need iBT 100, with a minimum component score of 23.
Fees
Course Fees for 2012/3 are:
- GBP 9 000 for EU Students
- GBP 15 000 for non-EU Students
Alumni of the University are entitled to a scholarship of £500 (reduction in fee charged) if they choose to remain at the University to study for a Masters programme.
