Accessing our students: Internships
|
Internships, paid or unpaid, are invaluable work experience for our students to try out a potential employee. Usually these take place during the summer vacation. We would be delighted to meet you to discuss any internship opportunities you may be able to offer our students. We have two aims; to give local companies the chance to tap into the innovative ideas and expertise of enthusiastic, talented students and to give our students real business experience. |
Contact usIf you would like to discuss ways in which you can engage with our students please contact the student employability team at mgt.employability@sheffield.ac.uk or +44 (0)114 222 3259. |
There are a variety of ways in which our students can help. However, we’re also very interested in exploring new ways of working with local businesses.
Let our students help you:
- Create a marketing plan
- Conduct a feasibility study into new markets
- Run a customer satisfaction survey
- Produce a competitor analysis
- Do some mystery shopping
- Produce a report on a new initiative
- Generate a range of possible solutions to a business problem
There are a variety of options from groups of undergraduates conducting project-work to individual dissertations or in-depth analysis from one of our experienced Masters or MBA students.
We will advise and work with you to find the best fit for the individual project that you have in mind and the timescale by which your project needs to be complete. We have an expert contact who handles this. We will take a brief and come up with a recommendation; we will sort out all the arrangements and it shouldn’t take up too much of your time.
