This research group is committed to theoretical and empirical explorations of the relationship between literacy, language and culture.

The group is particularly interested in issues relating to popular culture, new technologies and critical literacy. Research projects include Digital Beginnings, Family learning, the Literacy through Technology Evaluation and Children's use of ICT Outside of School for Homework
