The University of Sheffield
Centre for Linguistic Research

Languages

As its name suggests, one of the goals of the Centre is to bring together researchers working on various aspects of different languages, as well as on earlier stages and/or nonstandard varieties of these languages. As can be seen below, researchers often have interests and/or specializations in languages outside of their home departments: the Centre is intended to provide a forum for crosslinguistic research that will support further inter-departmental collaboration, as well as co-supervision of crosslinguistic work at PGR level.
