University Libraries for Geography

There are a number of sites which hold material of interest to staff and students in the Department of Geography.

Libraries
Information Commons Contains books, mainly relevant to undergraduate and postgraduate course students, on geography, town and regional planning, landscape architecture, environmental studies and urban studies, the arts and humanities, social sciences, pure science, architecture, law and engineering.
Western Bank Library This Library covers geography, town and regional planning, landscape architecture, environmental studies and urban studies, the arts and humanities, social sciences, pure science, architecture, law and criminology and East Asian studies. There is also an extensive reference collection of maps including coverage of the whole of the UK at scales of 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 and local maps at scales of 1:10,000 and 1:1250. Thematic maps such as soils and geology and foreign maps are also available.
St. George’s Library Serves the Faculty of Engineering and the School of Management. Among its materials of interest are CAD/CAM and structural engineering.

Sheffield City Library Has an excellent local studies collection in the Surrey St. Central Library.
