How to renew items
Please read our Library systems transition period for up-to-date information on Library services.
From Friday 14 June, if you need to renew items that are on loan to you, email us at library@sheffield.ac.uk . Please include:
- your name
- your ucard / library number
- item details - barcode, author/title
We will renew your items as soon as the new system becomes live.
All loans can be renewed as many times as you like provided no-one else needs them.
Please note: myLibrary Account cannot be accessed on the mobile version of StarPlus.
For registered staff and students
Library Account
If accessing your Library Account via the Library tab in MUSE:
- Click on the Manage My Account and Renew Items link which directs to StarPlus
- Click on the University members link in the top right-hand of StarPlus to confirm login
- Click on myLibrary Account link to access full details
If accessing your Library Account in StarPlus (not already logged in to MUSE):
- Click on University members link in the top right-hand of StarPlus
- Log in to your MUSE account, when prompted
- Click on myLibrary Account link to access full details
For NHS Staff and External users
Library Account
- Click on NHS and other library users link in the top right-hand of StarPlus
- Log in with your Library number and PIN, when prompted
- Click on myLibrary Account link to access full details
If the due date is unchanged after renewal, please refresh the page. If the date remains unchanged, or you experience any problems please contact the Library HelpDesk on 0114 222 7200. The HelpDesk is manned 9am-7pm, Monday to Friday.
Please remember that items should be renewed in plenty of time to allow you to return them to the Library before their due date if they cannot be renewed.
