What if I cannot fetch my own books from the shelves?

If you are unable to fetch the Library books you need from the shelves, simply reserve them through Star. Further information about requesting items is available from the ‘See also’ box. When the book is ready for you, you can either collect it yourself or arrange for someone to collect it on your behalf.
  • Students are encouraged to contact the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service for information about non-medical help which may be available. A Library Support Worker may be found for you who will be able to borrow books on your behalf
  • University staff may seek advice about help available from the Department of Human Resources
  • If you are an external UCard holder, you may wish to nominate a relative or friend to borrow books on your behalf.
For your convenience, the above options are the preferred ones. However, Library staff will endeavour to fetch material from the shelves for you at the time of your visit.

What if I need a journal article?

If you would like a photocopy of a journal article, please use the myDocuments service.
