Services for customers with additional support requirements

What does the Additional Support Service offer?

The Additional Support Service will advise and help you to access Library resources. All requests for assistance will be dealt with in accordance with the Library's Service Level Agreement.

Below is a list of the support you may expect:

Is anything expected of me?

All Library customers are expected to comply with the Library Regulations and the “User responsibilities” provided in the Service Level Agreement. This includes keeping your Library loans up to date and paying for any fines which may accrue through late renewal or return of your loans.
Library staff are unable to personally manage the loan records of individual students but if your disability presents particular difficulties at specific times please contact the Additional Support Service.
If you have been unable to keep your loans up to date due to illness, personal/family problems, difficult events (e.g. bereavement), or serious incidents, please present a Special Circumstances form at a Library Counter or Information Desk and fines will normally be waived. Please refer to the ‘See also’ box for further information.
