Downloading references from EBSCO databases to EndNote
Carry out your search as normal.
You can export a single reference, or multiple references.
To export a single reference:
- Click 'Export' (to the right of the reference). Export Manager will open
- Under 'Save citations to a file formatted for:' select the appropriate option ('Direct Export to EndNote [...]' or 'Direct Export to EndNote Web')
- Click 'Save'
- Depending on the option selected, either EndNote or EndNote Web will open and automatically import the reference (you will have to login to EndNote Web to see it).
NB. Firefox users saving to EndNote (desktop version) may be prompted to save the reference as an RIS Formatted File or open with EndNote.
To export multiple references:
- Click 'Add to folder' (at the bottom of each citation) to add the reference to the folder. To add all the results on a page, click 'Alert / Save / Share' then 'Results (1-10)' (under 'Add to folder')
- Click 'Go to: Folder View' and select the references you wish to export by ticking the box to the left of each one. You can also 'Select / deselect all'
- Click 'Export' (to the right of the references). Export Manager will open
- Select the appropriate option and save as before.
