The Customer Relations Team is responsible for ensuring awareness of all services provided by the Library for customers and potential customers, primarily through a series of publicity, promotional and communications activities. The team co-ordinates the Library’s involvement in events and outreach activities and also works with other teams across the Library to identify key messages and priorities in support of research, learning and teaching.
In addition, the Team has responsibility for planning and developing the provision of services to the diverse range of customers and for providing specific support to particular groups:
Responsible for the delivery and development of Library services to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STHFT), the team works with departments to ensure that information needs are being met at the right time and in the right place. Through the outreach service, the team delivers information skills training, advice and support to STHFT both on site and in the community.
Disabled and Dyslexic Customers
The team ensures that the Library adheres to all relevant national legislation on equality, as well as giving full consideration to the University of Sheffield’s own Diversity Statement. Through advice, good practice, anticipation and reasonable adjustments, the Diversity service seeks to provide equal access to all Library resources to all disabled and dyslexic customers.
