Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
April 2012: IEEE Xplore now includes enhanced abstract pages and more cited-by information amongst its new features.
The IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL), made available via the IEEE Xplore platform, provides access to abstract records and full text articles published since 1988 with select content published since 1893. This includes journals, transactions and conference proceedings.
IEEE Personal Account
An IEEE personal account allows you to sign up for saved search and table of contents alerts, set your personal preferences, and take advantage of enhanced features like search history. To set up your personal account, click 'Create Account' (at the top of the IEEE Xplore home page) and complete the registration form (which requires you to create a password and provide the answers to two security questions). Please note: your personal account does not give you access to full text content; you must connect to IEEE Xplore via MUSE to view full text.
Access
You are recommended to access individual titles via the Find it @ Sheffield ejournals service. Alternatively, access is available directly from this page by connecting to the IEEE Xplore web site - you'll be prompted to login to MUSE as necessary.
Support
If you experience any difficulties in using this eResource please call the Library on extension 27200 or email library@sheffield.ac.uk.
