The Waterloo directory is a keyword index to 19th century English periodicals and newspapers. It covers over 27 000 titles and can also be searched by place of publication, issuing body, and personal names.

Access is available directly from this page by connecting to the Waterloo directory web site - you'll be prompted to login to MUSE as necessary. Waterloo directory also requires a User Id and Password, which is limited to staff and students of the University of Sheffield.
