Trial electronic resources

Publishers and electronic resource suppliers often provide a trial facility to enable prospective subscribers to try out their resources. The list below represents current trials that have been requested by staff and students from our university and arranged by the Library. By virtue of the Library's established contacts within the publishing sector we are able to organize trials on an institutional basis often for longer than those usually provided for individual trial applicants.

Trials are usually prominently advertised on publisher web sites but other organizations such as JISC Collections also act on behalf of the academic community in negotiating advantageous subscriptions to electronic resources. Libraries then decide if they wish to subscribe to the new resource, taking the views of their University populations into consideration.

Please note, trial eresources can only be accessed on-campus.
