MEDLINE via SciFinder Scholar web
December 2010 update: 1946-1949 MEDLINE records now available via SciFinder Scholar web.
Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), the MEDLINE database is widely recognized as the premier source for bibliographic and abstract coverage of biomedical literature. MEDLINE via SciFinder Scholar web has information from 1946 to the present and includes citations taken from Index medicus, Index to dental literature, the HealthSTAR database, International nursing index, the OLDMEDLINE database, and Chapters in the books or symposia from 1976-1981. MEDLINE also contains IN-PROCESS records, the latest documents before they have been completely indexed for inclusion in MEDLINE.
This version of MEDLINE is bundled with SciFinder Scholar web (Chemical Abstracts) allowing cross database searching of the two datafiles. More details about this service are available from the SciFinder Scholar web Library Web page.
