PathCAL
PathCAL is a set of web-based tutorials designed to help students understand the basic pathological principles of disease by exploiting techniques in learning psychology. The tutuorials can be used by beginners for learning the subject for the first time or by more advanced students for review and self- assessment. The tutorials were written and developed by experienced university teachers over a ten year period and have been subsequently edited and enhanced by both staff and students. There are 115 tutorials with more in development.
Access
Access is available directly from this page by connecting to the PathCAL web site - you'll be prompted to login to MUSE as necessary. To access the Library's eResources collection whether on or off campus, simply log into MUSE & connect via the Library eResources links, located on the Library tab. Alternatively, access via the eResources A to Z links on the Library Web pages & login to MUSE when prompted.
Please note that some PathCAL tutorials contain a number of images, Macromedia Flash-based animations and a small amount of (Real) streaming video as an essential part of their educational design - you need to be able to access and use these media types to fully make use of PathCAL. Please note also that you need to have cookies turned on in your browser to use PathCAL.
