Miracles database via University of Sheffield Medieval portal

The Miracles database comprises a collection of miracles from a variety of texts throughout the Medieval period & aims to illustrate the importance of miracles in religious life. The database can be searched by a number of categories including miracle type, gender & geography.

Presented as a Microsoft Office Access 2007 file (accdb, 5.1MB), the database can be downloaded by right clicking the link on the Miracles database page (via the Research menu from the University of Sheffield Medieval portal web site) & choosing save as / save link as / save linked file. In addition to the database file, a number of other resources are available, including spreadsheets, presentations, Google maps, seminar plans & worksheets as well as a comprehensive guide.

Access

Access is available directly from this page by connecting to the University of Sheffield Medieval portal web site - you'll be prompted to login to MUSE as necessary. To access the Library's eResources collection whether on or off campus, simply log into MUSE & connect via the Library eResources links, located on the Library tab. Alternatively, access via the eResources A to Z links on the Library Web pages & login to MUSE when prompted.
