If reporting issues with eResources please give as much information as possible, including resource name, whether you're on or off campus & a description of the problem, including any error messages you're seeing. Before taking the trouble to submit a query, please check that none of the following apply to your enquiry. This will save you time & help us to address the situation swiftly:
• are you a registered student or member of staff at the University of Sheffield? If so, you are entitled to access, otherwise we are not able to help.
• does your web browser have "cookies" switched on & pop-ups permitted for the eResource you are trying to access. Both of these can be controlled in your browser preferences, as can clearing your browser cache; the latter is good practice & solves many problems.
• if you are a retired, honorary or visiting member of staff, have you obtained a green Associate UCard? Once you have done this it will need to be validated at one of the Library sites.
• if you are looking for an ejournal & cannot access the volume & issue you need, have you confirmed that we subscribe to that year & volume? We cannot always purchase all volumes & sometimes publishers have not digitised older material. Ejournal holdings information is available via the Find it @ Sheffield service or Star Library Catalogue.
