ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and corresponds to the printed indexes Resources in Education (RIE) and Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE). It is presently the largest education database in the world, containing over 700,000 citations, and is divided into two sections: current data (1984 onwards) and archive data (1966-1983). More than 775 periodicals are indexed, and coverage includes research documents, journal articles, technical reports, program descriptions and evaluations and curricular materials. ERIC is updated monthly.
