Chemical database service (CDS)
Chemical database service (CDS) provides online access to a variety of databases in the field of chemistry, including:
- Crystal structures - organic, inorganic and organo-metallic crystal structure data
- Spectroscopy - spectrum prediction and searching
- Physical chemistry - thermodynamic and transport property data
Please note
June 2010 - InfoChem have recently upgraded the SPRESIWeb software to version 2.8. This has led to the search facility not working on certain browsers. CDS have therefore stated that currently Firefox is the only recommended browser to use.
From April 2008 the EPSRC has awarded the contract for chemical database provision to the UK academic community to the CDS, for an initial period of 3 years. This will provide access to the following components:
- Cambridge Structural Database
- Inorganic Crystal Structure Database
- CrystalMet Database System
- NIST Crystal Identification File
- DETHERM, thermophysical properties database
- SpecInfo spectroscopic system
- ACD/Labs I-Lab spectroscopic and physical properties prediction system
CDS have added SPRESI database, the world's 3rd largest structure and reaction database, to their collection.
Further information about the latest developments can be found in the CDS Winter 2008 Newsletter
