Cataloger's Desktop

The Library of Congress Cataloger's Desktop contains cataloguing documentation resources in an integrated, web-based system. It includes the current version of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2), Library of Congress rule interpretations, subject cataloguing manuals, MARC 21 formats, latest editions of all MARC code lists and more.

Access

Access is available directly from this page by connecting to the Cataloger's Desktop web site - you'll be prompted to login to MUSE as necessary. To access the Library's eResources collection whether on or off campus, simply log into MUSE & connect via the Library eResources links, located on the Library tab. Alternatively, access via the eResources A to Z links on the Library Web pages & login to MUSE when prompted.

Please note: you will be taken to a Login page. Enter your username and password.

If you have not already set up your username enter your email address and create a password. You will then be asked to re-enter and confirm your password. Once you have confirmed your password you can then set up your preferences for Cataloger's Desktop. Your password and preferences will be saved so you will not need to confirm them every time you login.
