17th to 18th century Burney collection newspapers
The 17th to 18th century Burney collection newspapers database contains digitised versions of the content of the Rev. Charles Burney collection held at the British Library and is made available by the British Library and Gale. The papers are produced in high resolution digital format with searchable images, giving online access to a key set of primary sources for the study of the period.
The Burney collection newspapers are also available to cross search with the 19th century British Library newspapers. This search is available by connecting to the British newspapers 1600-1900 directly from this page. The search is also available from within the Burney collection by clicking on Change Databases and selecting the British newspapers 1600-1900.

Access is available directly from this page by connecting to the Burney collection newspapers web site - you'll be prompted to login to MUSE as necessary.
