British National Formulary for Children (BNFC)

The British National Formulary for Children (BNFC) is an authoritative reference for the safe and effective use of medicines in children.

BNFC aims to provide prescribers, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with sound, up-to-date information on the use of medicines for treating children. It has been designed for rapid reference and the information presented has been selected to aid decisions on prescribing, dispensing and administration of medicines.

Registration

The BNFC is a free resource which requires registration and login but please note that its use is limited by the BNFC to use in the UK & certain developing countries. (If you have previously registered to view the BNF on BNF.org then you may use the same email address and password to view the BNFC.)

You can register for the BNFC by clicking the BNFC enter button at the top right hand side of the page and following the on-screen instructions.

Access

This service is available to Internet users including registered students and staff of the University of Sheffield regardless of location within the UK and can be accessed directly from this page by connecting to the BNFC web site.

Registered users should click the BNFC enter button at the top right hand side of the page and enter their email address and password details to login.
