Representation

Student Representation & Democracy is a vital part of the student experience at University. It allows you and your peers to have a voice in what happens at the University: from environmental factors such as where lectures are held; to issues that affect your learning experience such as personal tutoring systems or the provision of feedback on assessments; and linking to national campaigns such as fees changes.

There are three levels of Representation at the University: Course Reps, Faculty Reps and Union Councillors. All play an equally important role in ensuring student voices are heard, listened to and acted upon in the learning & teaching environment.

The Students Union manages the Representation system at Sheffield, and more information on these roles can be found here.
