Institutional Learning and Teaching Strategies and Projects
To ensure our students benefit from stimulating and inspiring teaching, and meet the promise to encourage our staff to be creative and innovative, the University provides funding and resources to encourage new developments and fresh thinking in learning and teaching.
As well as the smaller-scale, departmental-level projects such as those funded by the Learning and Teaching Development Grants scheme and CILASS (Centre for Inquiry Based Learning in Arts and Social Sciences), funding has been allocated to develop a number of large-scale learning and teaching projects. These projects will impact at institutional level and are being undertaken with the aim of embedding processes and practice across the University. Funded from the University´s own Curriculum Development Fund and HEFCE´s Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund, the institutional projects are being developed to meet some of the key priorities laid out in the Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy (Link) and as a response to feedback from staff and students.
