Programme Specifications
In line with the requirements of HEFCE's Teaching Quality Information initiative, the University introduced programme specifications for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes to provide clear and explicit information for existing and potential students so that they can make informed choices about their studies. Programme specifications also have a wider role as an information source for programme approval, accreditation, external examining and internal or external quality review.
Departments using the programme specifications template to prepare a proposal for a new or significantly amended programme should ensure that this is accompanied by the relevant documentation.
The following guidance is intended to help departments prepare a programme specification.
