Collaborative Provision
Collaborative provision may be defined as arrangements for course provision with external partners leading to an award (sole or joint award) of the University. This includes arrangements with external partners for entry to and advanced standing on University programmes. The University is currently engaged with a growing number of collaborative programmes, many of which involve international partner institutions.
The models of collaborative taught programmes currently operated by the University are as follows:
- Jointly Awarded Programmes
- Jointly Delivered Programmes
- Distance Learning Programmes
- Articulation Arrangements
- Validated Programmes
Strategic Direction and Principles for the Development of Collaborative Provision
The Strategic Direction and Principles for Collaborative Provision paper (approved by Senate in December 2009) provides a basis for future developments in this area, indicating the type of collaborations which the University is prepared to
enter into, and the criteria it will apply to evaluate new collaborative proposals.
