In 2012 I completed my PhD looking at the adult male prison experience from a gendered perspective, funded by the University of Sheffield. I am employed for two years as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, supporting the research of the Head of School, Professor Joanna Shapland.

I have presented at numerous national and international conferences in the areas of criminology, masculinities and cultural studies, and am an active researcher in a number of areas.
