Teaching and Learning

My teaching is linked to my research which is in the broad corporate/commercial law field. I am particularly interested in corporate governance issues especially where they affect company directors and the impact of their decisions. A notable feature of my teaching is to link the theoretical legal/regulatory issues with actual case studies drawn from ‘real world’ business activities. This approach enables students to see the impact of regulation in real corporate situations thereby promoting understanding and further research.

The modules I teach are:

Undergraduate Postgraduate and MA
Company Law I: The Law of Private Companies Company Law (Convenor)
Company Law II: The Law of Public Companies (Convenor) Introduction to Company Law (Convenor)
Understanding Law I
