In the current uncertain financial climate, advanced knowledge of the laws of commerce, competition and consumer contracting is invaluable. This programme will enable you to acquire specialist commercial knowledge before starting your legal career or will allow practising professionals to enhance their commercial familiarity – we particularly welcome legal practitioners, those in business, and people in the private and public sectors who encounter various aspects of commercial law.

European Health Law and Policy IconLLM European Health Law and Policy

 The globalisation of medicine and the ever increasing involvement of European institutions in healthcare policies call for a new approach to medical practices within individual European countries. This new programme brings together a range of relevant national and supranational legal specialisms, public health awareness and modern technological knowledge, along with more traditional medical law principles. Students will gain a contemporary understanding of healthcare law in its European contexts.

Helix ImageLLM Biotechnology Law and Ethics

The LLM in Biotechnology Law and Ethics is a unique course in the UK, based in the law school but drawing on research at the forefront of the biosciences conducted in centres of excellence at the University of Sheffield in stem cell biology, biomaterials and tissue engineering, synthetic biology, computational systems biology and nanotechnology. The focus is on emerging legal and ethical issues in the discovery chain from the lab to the clinic
