Modes of Study

The Legal Practice Course at Sheffield offers students the opportunity to choose their preferred mode of study, you can choose between studying full-time or studying part-time.

Full Time

The full-time LPC course runs from the beginning of September to the beginning of June including assessments. View the current year timetable from the link to the right.

Timetabled sessions are Monday to Thursday inclusive.

You can choose prior to the course commencing, whether to attend morning workshops or afternoon workshops.

At certain times of the year you will be expected to attend additional sessions on Friday's and outside of your normal morning or afternoon workshops.

Part Time

The part time course at Sheffield is run on a Friday for both years, and you will be expected to attend the workshops timetabled for that day. In addition to this you will be expected to undertake private study and e-learning exercises through the course.

There are some assessments throughout the two year period that you will have to attend that are timetabled on a day in the week other than Friday but you will be notified of these in advance.

Workshops timetabled between 9:00 and 17:00 every Friday.
