Because we care about our community and the world, we try to operate in a sustainable way, minimising our impact on the environment. We stand up for equality and diversity. If we think carefully about the social and economic impact of our work, we know we can make a difference.
Green Impact Team - The Legal GI's
Green Impact supports university departments to make simple, tangible and powerful changes in behaviour and policy through an online workbook of criteria. From recycling, to investing in more efficient equipment, to encouraging biodiversity or Fairtrade, the various criteria cover a broad range of issues under the sustainability umbrella.
Departments are then audited to verify the results and each department is presented with an award, from Working Towards Bronze right the way up to Gold, Platinum and even ‘Excellence’ to rec-ognise the impressive variety of green actions taken across the year.
We follow a simple but effective cycle, focusing on providing simple actions, supporting people to make the changes and rewarding them for their efforts.
Our programme is individually crafted to suit our Law School. We follow a workbook which outlines specific and measurable criteria, covering several main aspects of sustainability:
