For the last two years, the School of Law has re-established Annual Law School Alumni Dinners in Firth Hall. They were wonderful opportunities for past law graduates to meet up with old friends and colleagues, and meet new ones.
Alumni attended from across the years, the oldest graduating in 1960 and the youngest in 2008.
Before the dinner, Alumni had the opportunity to take a tour of the new Law School in Bartolome House on Winter Street. After pre-dinner drinks in Firth Court, guests enjoyed an excellent meal followed by a welcome address from the Head of School, Professor Joanna Shapland and a short speech from Lord Justice Maurice Kay in 2010 and His Hon Judge Michael Murphy QC in 2011. Alumni continued their celebrations in the newly extended Students’ Union.
The evenings proved to be very succesful, as guests commented afterwards:
