What Our Students Say
The National Student Survey is organised by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. An anonymous email questionnaire is sent to all students graduating from UK undergraduate courses (in our case 3rd years and 5th years). We´re very pleased that we came top for student satisfaction among landscape schools in the UK, with an overall score of 96% and first in 5 of the six categories (Search here for `landscape´: www.unistats.co.uk).
Here's what our graduates said about their experience in the landscape department:
“Interesting and engaging course, which effectively simulates real life situations and projects.”
“There is a reflection at the end of every module that allows issues to be ironed out for the following year.”

“Huge diversity for everyone, targets from a range of backgrounds and leveled everyone out equally.”
“Staff are fantastic, you can always get in contact with someone if you have a problem. Staff are also very supportive and don't hesitate to help you, even in their spare time. This course has been great for my self development, I have grown in confidence and learnt so much.”
“Very enthusiastic, approachable & knowledgeable teaching staff. Friendly, helpful and supportive office staff. Tutors who actually (seem to) care about what they're teaching and how you're getting on with tasks. Tutors who ask you how you're feeling when they know you've been ill or having a hard time. (Makes you feel less like a number and more like a person! In my previous university experience 12 years ago, I was definitely treated like 'a number' and this lack of support contributed to me dropping out in 2nd year). Being encouraged to be creative and given freedom of expression. 2nd year (optional) field trip abroad.”
“Enthusiasm of lecturers. Plenty of volunteering opportunities.”
“Very enthusiastic and helpful staff with student orientated approach. Course is very interesting and presented in a stimulating way. Workload is manageable and very effective at furthering personal skills and communicative techniques.”
“Always able to talk to staff. The teachers are helpful and very approachable. Lectures are interesting. The department listens and responds well to comments the students here.”
“I am very impressed by the computers.”
“Stimulating course on an intellectual and personal level in good balance.
Good range of tutors.”
