Ricardo Ares, Landscape Architect – Ares Landscape Architects

Ricardo graduated from the University of Sheffield’s Department of Landscape in 1998, having previously trained as a Civil Engineer. Since that time, he has worked in the private sector at a number of high profile practices, delivering projects throughout the UK and overseas. Over his professional career he has developed extensive experience in the design and implementation of Housing, Commercial and Leisure developments, Business Parks, and Educational Landscapes. Additionally, he has a strong track record in Landscape Planning, having produced numerous Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, and has appeared as Expert Witness at Public Inquiry.

He established Ares Landscape Architects in 2011 together with his partner Ania Ares, and the practice is now based in Sheffield. Ricardo is actively involved in promoting the profession, having spoken at a number of events in the UK and abroad advocating the benefits of good practice and design.
