Clearing and Adjustment

Students on field trip

Clearing is the opportunity for students who have not yet secured a place at University to find a vacancy on a suitable course. Adjustment is aimed at applicants who have met and exceeded the terms of their conditional firm offer. It provides these applicants with an opportunity to consider and apply for a course at a different institution whilst still holding their confirmed place.

It is also possible, that if you did not manage to secure your first choice place at the University of Sheffield, we may have made you a `change of course´ offer to one of our courses. This means that you have an unconditional offer at our university for the specified course (and keep your accommodation guarantee). You have a choice whether you accept this offer, take up your insurance offer (if applicable), or reject these offers and go into Clearing.

For international students only The Department of Landscape has a limited number of places through Clearing and Adjustment on our two undergraduate courses. If you would like to discuss our courses, or the profession of Landscape Architecture, or your change of course offer, please contact Clare Rishbeth on 0114 222 0606.
