Applying for a Masters Degree Course

There are no specific deadlines for receipt of applications, but it is recommended that people apply early as courses fill up quickly.

Applicants for the applied courses, normally resident in the UK and Republic of Ireland, will usually be called for interview.

Applicants for the applied courses, not residing in the UK or Republic of Ireland, will not normally be called for interview but may be contacted for a telephone interview.

When you apply online, you may upload the supplementary information such as course transcripts, language certificates - if your first language is not English - references, writing samples or voice recording, as appropriate.

Candidates for the following Masters should also include:

Print Journalism, Web Journalism and Magazine Journalism:

Samples of your writing in a journalistic style.

If you have already had articles published in newspapers or magazines please include a few samples (in English language only).

Or

Interview someone you find interesting and write a 250 word piece based in this interview.

Broadcast Journalism:

Please record your news bulletin (in the downloads box on this page)and include as an MP3 in you application.
