05 September 2007 Students celebrate 2007 graduationStudents from the University of Sheffield’s Department of Journalism studies were out in force this summer to celebrate another excellent batch of results from one of the UK’s leading journalism schools. |
The graduation ceremony and subsequent party took place on the 18th July 2007 and was attended by 59 students who graduated, along with family, friends and staff members. |

Six of those graduating were awarded first class honours degrees. |
After the formalities the graduates and guests retired to a marquee in the quadrangle of Firth Court for a party where wine and strawberries was served. |

The prizes were presented by guests Margaret Hicks representing the Press Association, Will Venters for ITV News and journalism lecturer Jonathan Foster who stood in for Sheffield Star editor Alan Powell who had to leave early. |
