Students in the money on graduation day

Four journalism students at the University of Sheffield picked up more than just their degree certificates on graduation day 2004.

The talented quartet of Kristin Solberg, Amy Harris, Caroline Stocks and Jonathan Weeks also each won an industry prize for producing outstanding work in their final year.

Representatives from two of the three media organisations involved, the Press Association, ITV News and the (Sheffield) Star newspaper, presented the prizes at a reception held by the Department of Journalism Studies for all the graduating students and their families.
