Print Newsroom

Print newsroomGood equipment makes good journalism easier, and our print newsroom has plenty of PCs loaded with all the right software that students need to make the most of the course.

We try to simulate a real newsroom, right down to the mounds of papers, widely-strewn documents and old pens. It has the authentic feeling of urgency and chaos.

It is used all day, and it is where formal teaching takes place. It is also the centre of a journalism student´s day, the place to work quietly on your own, fix meetings, to read the newspapers, scan the archives, use the internet, even meet friends.

Tutors spend long hours there simulating newsdesk operations in editorial offices. That means students can seek extra guidance or advice, suggest story ideas, and discuss plans for page layouts.
