Broadcast Newsroom

TV studioThe broadcast newsroom is fully digital. We have 17 PCs geared towards digital audio editing using Adobe Audition, radio bulletin compilation using Burli and TV script writing on ENPS.

We've a cupboard full of portable Marantz audio recorders and microphones - the radio journalist's pen and notebook - and a broadcast standard production studio where you can create radio features and present news bulletins.

There's another cupboard full of state of the art digital video cameras that take the ache out of location shooting for television news and six digital video editing suites that give your creativity full reign. The television studio is in-house and has a news set and control gallery.

The newsroom is a working area, a place for students to develop projects outside taught sessions, to research ideas and, of course, to catch up with the news.
