27th April 2007

Last week was crazy. Spring is now in the air, and the weather has been really nice- the sun has been shining a lot. I have been in a party mood all week because not only was it my birthday, but a lot of my friends and family as well. Last week was my friends 20th birthday and my 19th one day after the other, so we have all been pretty sleep deprived.

The one good thing about it being your birthday is that you can get free entry to union nights as well as clubs, it is brilliant!

My friends´ birthday being on a Wednesday her choice of venue was Juice, a union night held every Wednesday. The music at Juice can be described as the charts and trance, basically a good mix of the old and the new. Other popular choices for a Wednesday night are Corporation, which you can get free entry to by dressing up in school uniform. Leadmill competes with Corporation also offering free entry in school uniform on a Wednesday night.

For my birthday on Thursday we headed to Gatecrasher One, a night club, which has 3 rooms. The top floor usually plays old songs and indie, the middle floor has r´n´b and the main floor plays mainly charts and trance with a few other types of music. All I had to do for free entry was call up Gatecrasher and leave my name and details and not only was I put on the guest list with free entry I was allowed a plus one!

The only thing I did not enjoy about the night was the queue for the bar. I was queuing for 20 minutes and I´d rather just visit the bar once because I prefer being on the dance floor.
